Between trips I build small tools for photographers. Two Android apps, both started on cold mornings when I wished my phone knew a little more about the light.

Golden Window

Know when the light will be good before you leave the house.

Golden Window works out golden hour, blue hour, sunrise and sunset for any spot on the map, then lays cloud cover, tide times and the sun's direction over the same timeline, so you can plan a shoot around the light instead of the clock.

  • Golden and blue hour times for any location, a year ahead
  • Sun and moon direction drawn over a live map
  • Cloud, tide and wind forecast on one timeline
  • A gentle alert an hour before the light turns

Roll Book

A pocket logbook for every frame you make.

Roll Book keeps the notes you always mean to write: where each frame was made, the settings, the weather and why it mattered. Tag a roll or a card, add a voice note on the spot, and export a tidy contact sheet when you get home.

  • Log location, settings and weather in two taps
  • Works fully offline and syncs back in signal
  • Voice notes and tags for every roll or card
  • Export a printable contact sheet as a PDF

Both apps are made by one person, so every review and email gets read. If something breaks on your phone, or you want a feature for your next trip, send a note.
